Personal Development - Learn to work harder on yourself than you do on your job. Nothing happens for you until it happens to you. Wealth is not something that you go after; wealth is something you attract. Success is not something that you pursue; success is something you become. So, if you want more, you must become more. Don't ask for things to be easier, ask for you to become better. Unless you change how you are, you will always have what you've got. Here's what would be pitiful, if your income grew and you didn't.
Knowledge - Be a searcher of ideas. Search amongst your experiences; search amongst other people's experiences but by all means continue the search. Learning is the beginning of wealth. Learning is the beginning of health. Learning is the beginning of spirituality. Searching and learning is where the miracle process begins. The books you don't read won't help. You must learn to apply all that you know so that you can attract all that you want.
Association - Be careful who you associate with. Never mistake the value and the effect of influence. Don't join an easy crowd. You won't grow. Go where the expectations to perform are high. Ask yourself these questions: Who am I around? Do they support and help me in becoming who I want to be? Find people of substance and spend time with them. Let the views of others educate you but let your decisions be from your own conclusions. Don't get discouraged. If you share a good idea long enough, it will eventually fall on good people.
Goals - You must have written goals! Focus on what you want, focus only on your objectives! We all have two choices: We can make a living or we can design a life. Therefore we need a lot of powerful long term goals to help us past the short-tem obstacles. Jim Rohn said: If the why is strong enough, the how becomes easy. So don't give up on your dreams. Without dreams, without a vision of your perfect life, you will perish.
"I find it fascinating that most people plan their vacations with better care than they do their lives. Perhaps that is because escape is easier than change." - Jim Rohn
Have a game plan that is visual. It's like building a house. You need your ideas on paper, not only in thought. You need a blueprint. Never begin the day until it is finished on paper. Without a plan, you plan to fail.
Use your resources wisely - You have 3 main resources: Time, Money and Knowledge. Time is your most valuable asset, yet we tend to waste it instead of invest it. The difference between poor and rich: Poor people spend their money and save what is left. Rich people save their money and spend what is left.
Philosophy - The best motivation is self-motivation. When you know what you want, and you want it badly enough, you'll find a way to get it. Without a sense of urgency, desire loses its value. The great gift of the human imagination is that it has no limits or ending. Become the best you can be. Life asks us to make measurable progress in a reasonable time frame. Stop the excuses and get moving.
Lifestyle - Learn how to be happy with what you have while you pursue all that you want. Read the books, enjoy the concerts, and study fine art. Sophisticated people know that a few well-designed things start the idea of culture and refinement. Happiness is not an accident. It is something you design.
"Let others lead small lives, but not you. Let others argue over small things, but not you. Let others cry over small hurts, but not you. Let others leave their future in someone else's hands, but not you." - Jim Rohn
